De EV2740S beschikt over alle features voor een haarscherpe, heldere en flikkervrije weergave. Met zijn 4K UHD-resolutie geeft hij vier keer zoveel informatie weer als de standaardresolutie Full HD (1920 x 1080). Gebruikers kunnen dus meer informatie tegelijkertijd zien op het 27-inch scherm en hoeven daardoor minder te scrollen of te schakelen tussen verborgen vensters. Hoewel 4K-monitoren vanwege hun hogere resolutie en grotere schermgrootte doorgaans meer stroom verbruiken, blinkt de EV2740S uit met een typisch stroomverbruik van slechts 12 watt. Dit helpt bedrijven hun energiekosten te verlagen en hun ecologische voetafdruk te minimaliseren. Net als alle EIZO 4K-monitoren is de EV2740S uitgerust met een USB-C-aansluiting. Deze verzendt het videosignaal, biedt toegang tot de USB-hub van de monitor met vier aansluitingen voor randapparatuur en levert tot 70 watt stroom – alles met slechts één kabel tussen de notebook en het scherm. In de Picture-by-Picture (PbyP)-modus toont de monitor de beelden van twee signaalbronnen naast elkaar. De EV2740S is gecertificeerd volgens uitgebreide, wereldwijde duurzaamheidsnormen, waaronder TCO Certified generation 10 en het ENERGY STAR®-label.
